British Columbia PNP- A Guide!
Through the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC-PNP), a variety of employees, graduates, and businesspeople can establish themselves permanently in British Columbia.
One of Canada’s famous Provincial Nominee Programs is the BC-PNP (PNPs). The Express Entry BC and Skills Immigration broad categories for professionals and grads, along with a separate stream for business people, make it one of the PNPs with the greatest variety.
These channels are then broken down into other groups. The federal Express Entry immigration selection process for Canada is compatible with some subcategories of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program.
At a later draw from the pools, qualified candidates in one of the following subcategories are given the Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residency and 600 extra Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) marks.
Additionally, Skills Immigration Registration Technology, a unique system, is used to manage several British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program categories (SIRS). Under the SIRS, prospective applicants must first create an account and submit certain personal data including their job opportunity in BC, employment history, language proficiency, and educational background. The BC government maintains quarterly lotteries for applicants who satisfy the cut-off criterion for their categories. The SIRS operates on an expression of interest/invitation to register basis, where enrolled applicants are given a score (out of 200). They get the provincial nominations upon meeting the cut-off of the category.
Some BC-PNP categories, however, do not need candidates to have an offer of employment from a BC employer. These categories are maintained outside the SIRS.
In addition, the BC-PNP provides the BC PNP Tech program, which was launched in 2017 and allows tech and IT workers to relocate to BC and receive permanent residency in Canada.
