The decline follows several Express Entry draws conducted by IRCC, which invited thousands of candidates to apply for Canadian permanent residence.
High-Scoring Profiles Continue to Decline
One of the most notable changes in the latest update is the reduction in candidates with higher CRS scores. The number of candidates with CRS scores between 501 and 1,200 decreased from 19,136 to 18,644, a decline of 492 profiles. Several other score ranges also recorded decreases:

July 20 and July 21 Draws Not Included
The latest distribution does not include the two Express Entry draws held after July 19. Those invitation rounds issued an additional 2,511 ITAs:

- Improving English or French language test scores.
- Gaining additional skilled work experience.
- Completing higher levels of education.
- Obtaining a provincial nomination, which provides 600 additional CRS points.
- Keeping their Express Entry profile updated with any new qualifications or experience.
As Canada continues conducting regular Express Entry draws, candidates with competitive CRS scores or eligibility under category-based selections will remain well positioned for future invitations.
Canada's Express Entry Pool Remains Highly Competitive
Although the pool declined by more than 3,500 profiles over the two-week reporting period, competition remains high, particularly among candidates with CRS scores above 450. With additional draws held after July 19 already issuing more than 2,500 Invitations to Apply, the next Express Entry pool update is expected to show further changes in candidate distribution.
