British Columbia issued invitations across four priority occupational categories under its Care and Build objectives.

Childcare
Invitations were issued exclusively to:
- Early Childhood Educators (NOC 42202)
Eligible candidates were required to hold either a one-year or five-year Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Certificate issued by the British Columbia ECE Registry.
Healthcare
The healthcare category included 31 priority occupations, such as:
- Registered Nurses
- Nurse Practitioners
- Licensed Practical Nurses
- Physicians
- Dentists
- Pharmacists
- Physiotherapists
- Occupational Therapists
- Psychologists
- Social Workers
- Medical Laboratory Technologists
- Medical Sonographers
- Respiratory Therapists
These occupations continue to play a vital role in addressing healthcare workforce shortages throughout the province.
Veterinary Care
Invitations were issued to eligible candidates working in priority veterinary occupations, including Animal Health Technologists and Veterinary Technicians (NOC 32104) who held the required professional designation.
Construction Trades
The province targeted nine priority construction occupations, including Welders and Related Machine Operators (NOC 72106). To qualify for a targeted invitation, construction workers generally needed to hold a valid Skilled Trades BC trade certificate or be registered in an eligible apprenticeship program with Skilled Trades BC.

Candidates who received an Invitation to Apply can now submit a complete application for nomination under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program. If approved, nominated candidates may apply to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for Canadian Permanent Residence.
As of July 7, 2026, the BCPNP Skills Immigration registration pool contained 8,683 registered candidates, indicating continued strong interest in immigration to British Columbia.
