What Is the Canadian Experience Class?

Who Was Eligible?
To receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in this draw, candidates generally needed to:
- Qualify under the Canadian Experience Class.
- Maintain an active Express Entry profile.
- Have a minimum CRS score of 517.
- Submit their Express Entry profile before 5:49 p.m. UTC on December 29, 2025, if tied at the minimum CRS score.
- Meet all applicable IRCC eligibility and admissibility requirements.
Receiving an ITA allows eligible candidates to submit a complete application for Canadian Permanent Residence.
Why Is IRCC Continuing CEC Draws?
This approach supports Canada’s immigration objectives by selecting individuals who are already contributing to the Canadian labour market and are well positioned to integrate successfully into Canadian society. As of early July 2026, IRCC had conducted 11 Canadian Experience Class draws, issuing 43,250 Invitations to Apply through this category during the year.

Candidates who received an Invitation to Apply now have the opportunity to submit their complete permanent residence application to IRCC. Candidates who were not invited in this round remain in the Express Entry pool and may receive invitations in future Canadian Experience Class, Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), French-language proficiency, or category-based selection draws if they meet the applicable criteria.
